The odd thing is that while plugged in the original dell battery shows fully charged and there is a continuous flashing orange light while plugged in. High quality DELL XPS 18 Tablet 8-cell 4840mAh (69Wh) laptop batteries

Hi just over 3 weeks ago my machine would not boot up on a fully charged battery. In fact it would not switch on unless I plugged into the mains. The odd thing is that while plugged in the original dell battery shows fully charged and there is a continuous flashing orange light while plugged in. Replaced it with a non original new battery. Still does not boot up.

1.Can you open your laptop after you install the new battery? Generally, if the battery can open your laptop

without adapter, it’s fine.

Or could you please put the new battery to another laptop to see if it can work;

2.Please make sure you've used an original adapter to charge our battery.

Also please don't disconnect the battery in charging process. Generally, it will take 12-24 hours to get your battery fully charge.
