My Lenovo Ideapad U260 laptop stored with batteries at an extremely low charge level which cannot charge fully with AC adapter connected ; it stayed 40% all the time;

My Lenovo Ideapad U260  laptop shows the following symptoms
1.stored with batteries at an extremely low charge level which cannot charge fully with AC adapter connected ; it stayed 40% all the time;
2.battery has been completely discharged , the system won't start up on battery power, when  AC adapter is removed laptop shut off immediately
Solutions:
1.The battery can become discharged to a level where the battery pack will only accept a very low charge rate - this is part of a battery protection feature. In this state the system will not power up under battery power. The system will power up under power from the AC adapter, but if the adapter is unplugged the system will immediately power off.

2.find a new battery to make replacement; troubleshooting the battery problem,
 (1.)please open your laptop after you install the new authorized third party battery to check if the battery can open your laptop without adapter ;
(2.) Plugged your old battery on another same model laptop to check if its working fine
(3.) Exchange the AC adapter to check ;
